Blenheim Palace has often been our go-to for days out, meeting up with friends, going for a walk before a hearty Sunday roast. I love observing the seasons change in the stunning undulating palace grounds landscaped by the great Capability Brown.
As the Palace, Park and Gardens transform into a festive wonderland, visitors get to explore the new Christmas Light Trail, see Christmas trees in the Great Court and discover the Palace decorated exquisitely. This year-round attraction- closed only on Christmas Day- always has something to offer ( read about some of our favourite walks), but is particularly worthy of a visit.
In the month of December the palace is going a whole lot more magical: they have put out lanterns and torches, fairy lights and optic fibres, created light shows with fountains dancing to Christmas music. Blenheim Palace have even persuaded Santa to make this his Oxfordshire home. It is truly special!
The event is on till the 2nd of January 2017, but the tickets are selling out very fast. So if you don’t want to miss out, buy them while they last… or better still,
